ASTM A333 specification describes Low temperature service pipe applied up to minus 150 degrees Fahrenheit. These pipe are always provided in normalized condition with Charpy Impact V-Notch Test as per the temperature range requirements to assure compatibility with the applicable environments.
Low temperature pipe also known as LTCS pipe abbreviated as LOW TEMPERATURE CARBON STEEL pipe. Since heavier wall thickness has an adverse effect on the low temperature impact properties, the size availability is limited in this specification.
As per ASME sec II part D ASTM A106 and ASME SA 106 can be used up to 550 degrees Celsius A106 with a tensile strength of 11.2 Mpa whereas ASTM A333 pipe and ASME SA 333 pipe can be used only up to 375 degrees Celsius.

Low temperature carbon steel ASTM A420 WPL6 Pipe Fittings
WPL6 is the most common grade of A420 low temperature carbon steel pipe fittings. They are widely utilized in pressure piping and pressure vessel service. Therefore, our A420 WPL6 butt weld fittings are the preferred choice in the oil and crude petroleum wells as they can progress effortlessly between pipes. They readily allow the passage of toxic liquids. We also take proper heat treatment for the fittings, generally it is quenching and tempering, so they could be tougher than normalized micro-structures at the same strength level.
